A 62-year-old woman was killed Thursday after she was struck by a moving vehicle on West 16th Street near West Loop 338, medical examiner’s office officials said Friday.
Rhonda Jean Hill died of her injuries following the crash that occurred at about 9:17 p.m. Thursday on the westbound lane of West 16th Street.
A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper at the scene reported that Hill had been taken to Medical Center Hospital but could not immediately disclose how the fatal crash happened.
A witness, Michael Galindo, said at the intersection on Thursday that he saw Hill lying on the roadway and that she appeared unresponsive. Galindo reported at the time that she was “barely breathing.”
