Pompano Beach, FL : Several people injured Transit bus crashes into truck at Pompano Beach on Thursday evening, January 22, 2015

Several people were injured when, authorities said, after a Broward County Transit bus collided with a truck in the middle of rush hour Thursday evening.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, the truck cut in front of the transit bus at the intersection of West Atlantic Boulevard and Oasis Drive in Pompano Beach.

Paramedics treated an unspecified number of victims at the scene. It is unknown if any of them were taken to the hospital.

Authorities blocked all but one eastbound lane on West Atlantic Boulevard, backing up traffic on Florida's Turnpike northbound exit ramp.
