Flemingsburg, KY : None injured in collision at the intersection of Kentucky 32 and Kentucky 11 in Flemingsburg on Thursday, 31st January 2019
FLEMINGSBURG — Flemingsburg Police responded to a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Kentucky 32 and Kentucky 11 in Flemingsburg Thursday morning.
Officer Tim Smith said a witness saw a Kenworth semi pulling an empty logging trailer which had allegedly attempted to beat a red light at the intersection. A 2016 Chevrolet Cruise had slammed into the semi truck and then bounced off and struck a 1999 Ford Ranger.
Both Smith and Police Chief Brian Bowling responded to the scene at around 10 a.m. Smith said the driver of the semi was Douglas Bandy, of Ohio. He identified the driver who collided with Bandy as Robert Taylor. Clifford Reed was the operator of the third vehicle.
No injuries were reported during the incident, Smith said, although Bowling, who was directing traffic at the scene, said Taylor was taken to Fleming County Hospital — clearly shaken by the ordeal, but also had no visible injuries.
Brooks Towing of Flemingsburg removed Taylor’s vehicle, which had sustained the most damage, Smith said. Bandy’s vehicle had damage to its rear-passenger rim and tire, while Reed’s vehicle received only minor damage.
The incident remains under investigation by Smith.
