ATLANTA, GA : Trooper killed in crash on I-85 in Gwinnett County on Sunday, 28th January 2024

A Georgia State Patrol trooper who was killed in a crash Sunday afternoon in Gwinnett County has been identified.

Trooper Jimmy Cenescar was killed in the wreck near the Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road exit.

“As a young public safety officer, he was at the beginning of a life with years of experiences and opportunities that lay ahead and a career dedicated to protecting others,” Gov. Brian Kemp said.
