Marshall, MO : Teen injured in ATV crash on Tuesday, October 3, 2017

A Marshall teen was injured Tuesday evening, Oct. 3, when he was involved in an ATV crash.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the incident occurred at approximately 7:20 p.m. when a 2003 Suzuki ATV — driven by James K. Wansing, 16 — struck a bump in the terrain. That caused Wansing to lose control and he was ejected from the vehicle, the report stated. The ATV then overturned before coming to a rest.

An ambulance transported Wansing to a Columbia hospital for treatment of moderate injuries, according to the report. He was wearing a safety device.

The crash reportedly occurred north of 245th Road, near its intersection with Marigold Avenue.
