Sacramento, CA : Clovis motorcyclist dies in high-speed crash after fleeing from authorities near West and McKinley avenues on Monday, 22nd October 2018

Fresno police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that started when the rider fled from a traffic stop early Wednesday, according to authorities.

Robert Cooper, 46, of Clovis was on a Suzuki GSXR when he died in a high-speed crash near West and McKinley avenues.

Fresno County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Tony Botti said deputies attempted to pull over Cooper for a vehicle infraction at Van Ness and Gettsyburg avenues, but he sped away at over 90 mph. Deputies broke off their pursuit and contacted the Fresno police helicopter, and Cooper crashed his motorcycle into a fence place moments later.
