Salem, NH : Sears worker killed and a customer seriously injured in truck crash Saturday December 19 2015


A worker at a New Hampshire Sears Auto Center was killed and a customer was seriously injured when a truck tire exploded early Saturday morning.
The incident occurred at the Sears location in Salem, New Hampshire.
Salem police said Sears worker Justin Almon of Sandown was using an industrial tire changer to fix a large truck tire when the tire exploded. He sustained blunt force trauma to the head, according to police.
He was transported to Parkland Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
A customer at the auto center, Adam Sproul, 23, of Boothbay, Maine, also received a serious head injury in the accident. Police said he was transported to Lawrence General Hospital before being airlifted to Boston Medical Center.
Salem police and the Occupational Safety Health Administration are investigating the incident.
