TUSCALOOSA, AL : Man killed in 2-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa on Tuesday, 16th July 2024

A 53-year-old man has died after a two-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa July 16.

The crash happened at the intersection of 55th Avenue East and Old Birmingham Highway at 6:30 p.m.

The victim has been identified as Shannon Scott Elmore.

Police say Elmore’s Ford F-150 crossed the center lane of traffic on Old Birmingham Highway and hit an oncoming Jeep Wrangler. Paramedics with Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue and Northstar EMS tried to help Elmore, but his injuries were too severe and he died at the scene.
