Sharp County, AR : One person dead, 1 injured after car plunges into creek on Friday morning, March 11, 2016

Arkansas State Police have shut down Highway 63 near Williford after a car plunged into a creek, killing one person.

Sharp County Sheriff Mark Counts says a car drove into Martin’s Creek shortly after 9 Friday morning.

At least one person, according to the sheriff, was killed.

Another person inside the vehicle was injured and taken to a hospital, according to Ravenden Police Chief Tim McComas. The person's condition is unknown at this time.

ASP had shut down the road as they worked to remove the vehicle from the water.
