Clinton, SC : Man dies in 2-vehicle crash near Clinton on Saturday, 22nd December 2018

35-year-old Lexington man died after a two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning along Interstate 26 near Clinton.

Patrick Nathaniel Davis died of his injuries at the scene, according to Laurens County Deputy Coroner Bobbie Jo Blakley.

The wreck happened at about 1:45 a.m. near mile marker 46.

Davis was driving west when his 1999 Toyota four-door car and a westbound 1997 Chevrolet pickup truck struck, Lance Cpl. Justin Sutherland with the state Highway Patrol said.

Both vehicles then went off the right side of the road, with Davis’ vehicle continuing down an embankment before overturning and striking a tree, Sutherland said.
