Emergency crews were called to the scene of an ambulance vs. minivan collision Saturday night in Spartanburg County, county dispatchers said.
South Carolina Highway Patrol reported there were injuries as a result of the crash that happened around 8:30 p.m. on Ashevillle Highway at Old Furnace Road.
Officials with the North Spartanburg Fire District said the ambulance involved was from Spartanburg Emergency Medical Services and that one of the crew members from the ambulance was taken to the hospital.
The crew member's condition is unknown at this time.
The roadway was blocked while tow trucks removed the vehicles from the scene.
