VICTORVILLE, CA : Apple Valley man dies in weekend head-on crash on Sunday, 8th September 2019

A 33-year-old Apple Valley man died Sunday after his vehicle was hit head-on while driving on National Trails Highway, authorities said.

The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Miguel Angel Aguirre.

Aguirre was driving a Ford Flex north on National Trails Highway when the vehicle collided with a southbound Nissan Armada, driven by Kenya Williams, 45, of Las Vegas, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said. Williams’ Nissan crossed into the northbound lane for reasons still under investigation, deputies said.

Aguirre’s passenger, an unidentified man, was airlifted to a local hospital with critical injuries.
