Stratford, CT : Bridgeport man killed in I-95 crash that halted traffic on Wednesday, 4th December, 2019

A 60-year-old Bridgeport man was killed early Wednesday while running across Interstate 95 in Stratford.

State police identified the man as Levern Hall, of Bunnell Street.

According to an accident information summary, Hall crossed over the center median barrier from the northbound lanes of the highway and onto the southbound side prior to Exit 32 about 6:24 a.m.

Police said Hall “attempted to run towards the right shoulder of the southbound side, crossing the left and center lanes,” before being hit by a Chevrolet Cavalier being driven by Meriam Jones, a 57-year-old Stratford woman.

Hall was pronounced dead at the scene by Stratford EMS. Jones was taken to Bridgeport Hospital for evaluation.
