GRIGGSVILLE, IL : Griggsville woman injured in crash near Ill. 107 in Pike County on Tuesday, 10th September 2019

Two Griggsville residents were involved in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon near Ill. 107 in Pike County that injured one.

The Illinois State Police report said that Cameron Niethe, 24, was driving east on 300th Street, which is a half-mile from Ill. 107, when he lost control of his 2000 Dodge truck. The vehicle began to slide on a patch of gravel before leaving the road and overturning. Niethe was not injured. His passenger, Caitlin McClellan, 21, was taken to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for treatment of her injuries, which were described as minor.

Both Niethe and McClellan were wearing seat belts.

Assisting on the scene were the Pike County Ambulance Service, Griggsville Fire Department and Pike County Sheriff's Office.

Niete was cited by state police for improper lane usage.
