Police chief's son killed in Verona cras in Kentucky
The son of the Edgewood Police Chief is killed in a Boone County crash.The accident happened just after 7:00 a.m. on Monday near the intersection of U.S. 42 and South Fork Road in Verona, Kentucky.Officers say that the motorcyclist, Anthony (AJ) Kramer, 22, was driving his Suzuki motorcycle westbound on U.S. 42 when his motorcycle struck a vehicle waiting to turn left.Terry Gibson, 56 of Verona, was stopped in his Ford Taurus waiting to turn left on eastbound U.S. 42. Gibson started to turn but stopped when he saw the approaching motorcycle.Officers say Kramer braked hard when he saw the vehicle but was unable to avoid collision.Gibson was uninjured in the accident.Officers say that Kramer was wearing a helmet.Kramer was one of Erlanger Police Chief Anthony Kramer's two sons with his wife, Penny.The Kentucky reported that Edgewood Mayor John Link called for a moment of silence in memory of A.J. Kramer during the City Council meeting Monday night and asked those at the meeting to remember the family in their prayers.
