East Northport, NY : Police Officer suffers minor injuries in hit-run crash on Long Island on Tuesday evening, January 27, 2015

Police are looking for the driver who fled the scene of a Long Island accident in which a police officer suffered minor injuries.

Suffolk County police say the three-car crash occurred Tuesday evening in east Northport.

They say the driver collided into the back of one car and then rear-ended the officer's vehicle on Larkfield Road.

The driver of the other car was not hurt.

The officer was taken to a hospital with nonlife threatening injuries.
