Ithaca, NY : Man airlifted after Ithaca rollover crash early Friday afternoon, May 20, 2016
A man was airlifted to a regional trauma center early Friday afternoon after a rollover crash on Bostwick Road in Ithaca.
At about 1 p.m. Friday, emergency officials responded to a report of a one-car rollover crash on the 300 block of Bostwick Road, according to Lt. Tom Basher, of the Ithaca Fire Department. The call came just as Ithaca firefighters were picking up from a fire at 505 W. Seneca St. in Ithaca.
A man was ejected from his vehicle, Basher said, but he was conscious and talking when authorities arrived on the scene. He appeared to have head and shoulder injuries. The man was flown by helicopter to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania.
Along with the IFD, Bangs Ambulance, New York State Police and the Ithaca Police Department responded to the crash.
