Mount Vernon, NY : Two people killed when car flips over near Hutchinson River Parkway on Wednesday, June 24, 2015

Police say two people were killed when their car struck a parked SUV and flipped over near the Hutchinson River Parkway.

It happened at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday on East Third Street west of the parkway.

Police say a convertible BMW ended up upside down in the intersection at Warwick Avenue.

According to the Journals News, Mayor Ernie Davis said both victims were from New York City and appeared to be in their late 20s. One was from the Bronx, the other from Manhattan.

Their names were not immediately released.
