Yakima County ,WA:Two Yakima teens critically injured after Rollovercar crash on Saturday ,September 12th 2015

Two Yakima teenagers are in critical condition after a rollover crash on Saturday. It was one of three serious crashes over the weekend in Yakima and Kittitas Counties.

Washington State Patrol reports six people were in the car ranging from 17 to 21 years old when the crash occurred south of Ellensburg. At this point in their investigation, troopers believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. They say toxicology results for the 17-year-old driver are expected to return in about a month.

Two passengers, 19-year-old Yuritzy Giron and 18-year-old Veronica Ramirez, are in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, according to hospital personnel.

In Yakima County, five people were killed in two different car crashes this weekend. On Saturday, two cars crashed head-on after troopers say one crossed the center-line heading eastbound on State Route 22. It struck the other car going westbound a mile outside of Toppenish. All four people inside the cars were killed. WSP says two of the four were not wearing seat belts.

On Sunday, a 21-year-old from Yakima died in a crash at Wide Hollow and Douglas Roads. Troopers say Justin Ferrari was not wearing a seat belt when he hit a fence and the car rolled.

"Every time you get in a car, whether you're going down the block or across town, or out on the highway, just please put your seat belt on," said WSP Lt. Kiley Conaway. "They do make a difference."
