Dalton Pike, TN : North Georgia woman dies in crash near the 5000 block of Dalton Pike on Sunday, 25th November 2018

A North Georgia woman died in a fatal wreck Sunday afternoon on Dalton Pike.
According to information from the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, authorities were dispatched to a traffic accident near the 5000 block of Dalton Pike after a 911 call came in at 5:12 p.m. BCSO deputies, Bradley County Fire and EMS, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
“The accident involved two vehicles, and three individuals,” a BCSO news release stated. “A female was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two patients were transported by ground to Tennova Medical Center.”
According to regional media outlets, THP troopers said a man in a Ford Explorer was driving north on Dalton Pike when he swerved to avoid hitting another car. The vehicle lost control, flipped, and hit the top of a Jeep traveling southbound.
The driver of the Jeep, 33-year-old Marla Teresa Boyd from Cohutta, Ga., died in the crash. Charges are pending in the incident.
