Placerville, CA : No one injured after a School bus crash west of Mosquito Road on Friday afternoon, October 21, 2016

The California Highway Patrol reports that no one was injured in a collision between a school bus and another vehicle Friday afternoon on westbound Highway 50, but one lane was blocked for about an hour causing a traffic back-up in the Placerville area.

The collision occurred about 3:15 p.m. west of Mosquito Road. A CHP spokesman said the vehicles moved to the shoulder of the road, but the right lane was blocked. He said children aboard the bus were transferred to another bus and were taken to the Boys and Girls Club in Placerville for pick-up by parents.

No information was available on how the collision occurred. The lane reopened about 4:20 p.m.
