Seffner ,FL : Nine injured in crash with special needs bus and semi on Wednesday morning,July 15th 2015

Nine people were hospitalized after a Wednesday morning wreck involving a small bus carrying special needs children and a semitrailer truck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred just before 9 a.m. A Lexus passenger car was traveling southbound on Interstate 75 in the outside lane north of Interstate 4. The Lexus stopped while trying to merge onto the I-4 ramp, the FHP said, and was then rear-ended by a Ford van carrying several children. Then the van was hit a semi carrying roofing tiles.

Altogether, the FHP said nine people were taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa to be treated for injuries. None of those injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
