Findlay, OH : Two dead after head on crash in Liberty Township on Friday October 7 2016

Two men are dead after a head on crash Friday on U.S. 224 in Liberty Township.

Karl Kleman, 84, of Ottawa, and John Michael Kellenbarger, 62, of Columbus, were killed after their vehicles crashed head on into each other around 1:46 p.m. Friday.

Kleman was driving west on 224 in a 2014 Lincoln when Kellenbarger’s 1999 Buick struck his, according to a release from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.

Kleman was life-flighted to Mercy St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo, where he was later pronounced dead due to his injuries. Kellenbarger was pronounced dead at the scene by Hanco EMS.

Both men were wearing seat belts and were extricated from the vehicles with mechanical equipment.
