Florence,SC : Two dead after Florence crash on Tuesday, 26th May 2018

Two people are dead after three vehicles crashed Tuesday morning on West Palmetto Street.

Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken identified them as Larry Whitley, 42, and Brenda Witoshnsky, 58, both of Florence.

Von Lutcken said they were traveling together and were ejected from their vehicle. Whitley was pronounced dead at the scene and Witoshnsky died later in a hospital.

Five others were taken for hospital treatment after the crash, which happened at the intersection of Winston and Palmetto streets.

West Palmetto Street between Pettigrew Street and Park Avenue was closed Tuesday morning while Florence police investigated the crash.
