Lehigh Acres, FL : Two women were injured in overnight crash on Friday morning August 29th 2014.

Two women were hospitalized after a head-on crash in Lehigh Acres early Friday morning on Leeland Heights Boulevard. A witness tells us a woman driving a Chevy Impala crossed the roadway and hit a Ford Expedition head on near Texas Road. The driver of the Impala became trapped in the vehicle by the dashboard and had to be excricated by Lehigh Acres firefighters with the Jaws of Life. She was then flown to Lee Memorial Hospital as a trauma alert. The woman driving the SUV was taken to Lehigh Regional Medical Center via ambulance with minor injuries.
