Concord, MA: Raleigh motorcyclist was seriously injured in a three-vehicle wreck on late Saturday morning,8th November 2014

This morning, November 8, 2014 at approximately 11:41 am, officers with the Concord Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash on Weddington Road near the intersection of Rock Hill Church Road in Concord. The crash involved a 2015 Indian Scout Motorcycle and an as yet unidentified vehicle. Initial investigation indicates a 2015 Indian Scout motorcycle was traveling on Rock Hill Church Road and entered into a curve onto Weddington Road when the motorcycle operator lost control and struck a vehicle stopped at a stop sign at that intersection. The motorcycle then continued off the roadway and struck a utility pole before coming to rest. The operator of the motorcycle has been identified as: John Francis Cassidy, Age 52, Raleigh NC John Cassidy was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. The driver of the second vehicle involved left the scene. It appears that vehicle was not at fault in the accident but investigators would like to identify and speak to the driver. The second vehicle involved is believed to be a 2006-2013 Chevrolet Impala, or similar vehicle, white color. It was believed to have been operated by a white male.
