Rapid City, SD : Victims in Cheyenne River car crash identified on Tuesday August 30, 2016
The Eagle Butte student who died in a one-vehicle crash on the Cheyenne River Reservation Tuesday has been identified by authorities as 15-year-old Carli Haskell.
The accident happened along S.D. Highway 63 while Haskell and four other students were traveling to Timber Lake to watch a volleyball match Tuesday evening. Haskell was driving the vehicle, said Cheyenne River Police Chief Joseph Wicks.
The passengers were treated for injuries in a hospital, and are expected to make a full recovery. Wicks identified them as Phannett Gray, Glennee Gunville, Demi Lend His Horse and Sierra Jewett.
