Fort Collins, CO : Motorcyclist dies in Fort Collins crash on April, Tuesday 11th 2017
Fort Collins Police shared additional information on Monday night’s fatal motorcycle crash early Tuesday morning.
The collision involved two motorcycles and a Chevrolet Tahoe at the intersection of S. College Ave. and Swallow Rd.
The two motorcycles were travelling south on College when the Tahoe made a left turn in front of them. The Tahoe was traveling north, attempting to turn west on to Swallow Rd. One of the motorcycles avoided the Tahoe but laid his motorcycle down on the roadway. The motorcyclist was transported to the Medical Center of the Rockies with serious injuries.
The second motorcyclist collided with the right rear of the Tahoe and was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the deceased motorcyclist will be released by the Larimer County Coroner’s office.
The driver of the Tahoe, Stacie Kenny, 46, of Fort Collins, and her two passengers, were uninjured.
The intersection of S. College Ave and Swallow Rd was closed for approximately 5 hours. Police are working to determine if the speed of the motorcycles was a factor.
The investigation is on-going and charges are pending.
