Morgantown, PA : Driver killed in single-vehicle crash on Morgantown Road on Thursday, 16th January, 2020
A Butler County man died Thursday in a single-vehicle crash on Morgantown Road.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office said deputies received a report of the crash that occurred between Highland Church and Jackson Bridge roads.
Deputies responded around 7:52 p.m. and through investigation determined that a 2006 Chevrolet Corvette was traveling north on Morgantown Road when the driver lost control.
Witnesses told deputies the Corvette attempted to pass another vehicle. The driver, identified as Jacob Hampton, 32, of Morgantown, then lost control of the vehicle, leading to it going off the road and striking a tree, according to the sheriff’s office.
Hampton was pronounced dead at the scene.
