Flagler County, FL : Two dead, two Seriously Hurt in chain-reaction wreck in Flagler County on Monday evening, October 20, 2014
Two people from Port St. Lucie were killed in a three-car crash on State Road 100 in western Flagler County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Elizabeth Jean Alley, 45, and Vada Stafford Delk, 72, both passengers in the same car traveling east on the roadway, were killed in the crash Monday night.
Jody Alan Hyde, 26, of Calhoun, Georgia, was driving east on 100 and “failed to react in time to the stopped traffic,” a report states. He hit a car being driven by Eileen Wojczyszyn, 54, of Palm Coast and it was “propelled forward, traveling to the left from the impact” and into the path of Carl Eugene Alley Jr., 50, of Port St. Lucie.
Wojczyszyn was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach in critical condition, the report states. Carl Alley was taken to the same hospital in serious condition. Hyde was not injured.
All five were wearing seat belts. Toxicology reports are pending for Hyde and Carl Alley, the report states.
Charges are pending.
