Schuyler,NE :Teen injured in ATV accident on September, Wednesday 20th 2017

A teenager sustained a serious head injury Wednesday after falling off an all-terrain vehicle in Schuyler.

Schuyler Rescue Squad and Schuyler Police Department responded to the accident at 3:29 p.m. near Schuyler Central High School in the 300 block of West Fourth Street.

According to the police department, two teenagers were riding on the ATV when the 15-year-old male passenger fell off the back and onto the street, causing the head injury. He was transported by ambulance to CHI Health Schuyler then to an Omaha trauma center by medical helicopter.


The ATV was operated by a 16-year-old male.

The names of the juveniles involved in the accident have not been released.

The accident remains under investigation by the police department.
