Olympia, WA : Chair on interstate blamed for Richland crash on Saturday, 5th November 2016
A chair sitting on Interstate 182 in Richland is blamed for a crash that injured a Richland woman.
Stacey Blewett, 32, of Richland, was driving a Ford Escort east on the interstate when she spotted the chair in her lane near the exit to Highway 240, according to the Washington State Patrol.
She swerved to avoid it and drove into the median at 7:13 p.m. Saturday, according to police reports.
Blewett and a 1-year-old boy in the car were not injured, but passenger Jessica Hash, 23, of Richland, was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.
The child was in a car seat, and the adults were wearing seat belts. No charges will be filed against the driver.
