PHOENIX, AZ : Alcohol speed suspected factors in crash that injured two teens near Coolidge on Saturday, 21st September 2024

Two teens were ejected from a vehicle in a crash along SR 287 near Coolidge Saturday morning.

Around 8:00 a.m., the Pinal County Vehicular Crimes Task Force and Coolidge PD began investigating a single-car crash on SR 287 near Nafziger Road.

Witnesses told officers the vehicle was driving recklessly before the driver lost control and rolled several times. PCSO said the 17-year-old boy driver and 15-year-old girl passenger were both ejected.

The boy sustained serious injuries, and the girl is in critical condition. Both of them were airlifted to the hospital.

Police said speed and impairment are believed to be factors in the crash.
