VIRGIE, KY : KSP probes fatal crash in Pike County on Tuesday 23rd October 2018

Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post 09 is investigating a two-vehicle fatal collision that occurred just after 4 p.m. on Ky. Rt. 1469 in the Virgie community of Pike County.

Jordan Wright, 20 of Jonancy, Ky., was driving his motorcycle eastbound on Rt. 1469 when a vehicle traveling east in front of him made a U-turn. Wright's motorcycle struck the vehicle in the driver's door.

Wright was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Pike County Coroner's office. He was taken to the Medical Examiner's office in Frankfort for an autopsy. No charges have been filed at this time, although charges may result pending toxicology reports for the operator of the vehicle involved in the crash.
