GARDEN CITY, KS : 22-year-old arrested for DUI after crashing car into Garden City business on Monday, 7th October 2024

A Garden City man was arrested for driving under the influence after crashing his vehicle into a building early Monday morning.

Around 2:20 a.m., Garden City Police responded to the intersection of 8th and Fulton where a vehicle struck a building. An investigation revealed that 22-year-old Joseph Huerta was driving southbound on 8th Street at a high rate of speed, and was unable to stop at the stop sign and struck the corner of a building that houses Pro-Tek Dent & Windshield Repair. Huerta ran from the scene and was subsequently located in the area before being taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
