Charleston,KY : 18-year-old bicyclist confirm dead after South Charleston accident on July, Saturday 22th 2017

The South Charleston Police Department have released the name of the victim killed in the accident in South Charleston on July 22nd, 2017.

Dispatchers said it occurred in the Spring Hills area near the 5300 block of MacCorkle Ave SW.

According to a release, a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle.

They were then transported to a nearby hospital before they succumbed to their injuries.

The bicyclist has been identified as Shawnee Paxton, 18, of Jefferson.

The accident remains under investigation.
