Danville,VI : Keeling woman dies after Pittsylvania County crash on January, Sunday 7th 2018

Virginia State Police report a passenger died after a single-vehicle crash Sunday night in Pittsylvania County.

The crash happened at about 7:20 p.m. at the intersection of Va. 729 and 659 in the Laurel Gove community, according to a news release.


State police report a 2012 Jeep Compass was traveling south on Va. 729 when "the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign, crossing over Va. 659 striking an embankment and overturned."

The Jeep was driven by Dallas Henry Massey, of Keeling. He was wearing his seat belt and was transported to SOVAH Health-Danville. His condition was not immediately known.
