Soap Lake,WA : One dead, one in serious condition after car goes in Alkali Lake on January, Thursday 11th 2018

A 78-year-old Coulee City man died Thursday after his truck rolled into Alkali Lake 12 miles north of Soap Lake. His 74-year-old wife was badly injured.

Harold Chadwick was driving a 1996 Ford F-150 southbound on Highway 17 near milepost 87 around 9:30 a.m. when the vehicle lost control in snow and wintry conditions near milepost 87, rotated clockwise and went off the west embankment, according to a report from the Washington State Patrol.
