Norfolk, NE : A two-vehicle accident north of Woodland Park on Sunday, 13th May 2018

A two-vehicle accident north of Woodland Park sent two people to the hospital Sunday morning.

According to the Stanton County Sheriff's Office, two women, Barb Munson, 66, of Norfolk and her mother LaVerne Munson were transported to Faith Regional Health Services by Hoskins/Woodland Park rescue.

The accident occurred about 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Northeast Industrial Highway and North Eastwood St. when a southbound SUV driven by Jesse Sohl, 55, of Woodland Park, failed to stop at the stop sign and struck an eastbound SUV driven by Barb Munson, according to the sheriff's office.

The highway was closed for an hour as the accident was investigated.

Sohl and his mother Florence were treated at the scene by Norfolk Fire Division.
