Police said a man who was driving a Chevrolet with two passengers ran a red light early Saturday in East St. Louis and slammed into a van, killing one of the passengers in his vehicle.
Police received a call about the accident at 1:40 a.m., Illinois State Police Trooper Calvin Dye said.
