Miami, FL : 4 injured in two-vehicle crash at 1300 SW 16th Ave, near the corner of Southwest 13th Street and a Steak n Shake on Friday, 24th January, 2020

Four people who were injured in a Friday morning vehicle crash in Gainesville are in stable condition, firefighters said in a press release.

The two-vehicle crash occurred at about 7 a.m. at 1300 SW 16th Ave., near the corner of Southwest 13th Street and a Steak n Shake, according to a Gainesville Fire Rescue press release.

Multiple people were trapped in both vehicles, one of which caught fire, the release said. Crews extricated the occupants, who were then taken to UF Health Shands Hospital for treatment.

Crews are still investigating the cause of the accident, the release said.
