Tuscaloosa, AL : Man killed and woman injured in Greene County wreck on Saturday, June 25, 2016

A Pennsylvania man was killed and a Mississippi woman was injured in a Saturday crash in Greene County, state troopers said.

The single-vehicle crash happened at 3:55 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 59 near the 49 mile marker, about 8 miles north of Eutaw, according to Senior Trooper Reginal King of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Logan Dale Mengle, 26, of Port Trevorton, Penn., was seriously injured when the 2004 Acura MDX in which he was a passenger left the road and overturned. Mengle was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at DCH Regional Medical Center. He was not wearing a seat belt, King said.

The car's driver, Amber Michelle Griffin, 25, of Madison, Miss., was taken to DCH.

King said no further information was available and troopers are continuing to investigate.
