St. Louis County , MO : 16- Years old Deandre Wallace Jr., Struck and killed after Hit and run Crash on Thursday night ,May 7th 2015

A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash Thursday night at Chambers Road and Green Valley Drive in unincorporated north St. Louis County, police said.

The incident happened at about 8 p.m. Thursday. The St. Louis County Police Department's crimes against persons unit is handling the investigation.

Authorities identified the teen killed as Deandre Wallace Jr., 16, of the the 10000 block of Bon Oak Drive, a few blocks from where he was struck.

Police said Deandre was struck by a four-door, maroon sedan as he was trying to cross five lanes of traffic. The car fled west on Chambers.
