JEROME, ID : A Monday afternoon crash on Interstate 84 on Monday, June 19, 2017

A Monday afternoon crash on Interstate 84 near Jerome resulted in multiple injuries.

According to an Idaho State Police dispatcher, the crash involved two vehicles and occurred at about 4:14 p.m. near milepost 166. Five or six people — one from the Twin Falls area — were transported to the hospital. An air ambulance was called to the scene.

Westbound lanes were blocked for about an hour.

The Idaho State Police is investigating the crash.
