Two Franklin residents were taken to an Indianapolis hospital after a motorcycle accident in Columbus.
David D. Holzhausen, 45, the driver, and passenger Linda A. Kelly, 43, were thrown from their 2001 Harley-Davidson motorcycle while traveling north on U.S. 31 at about 3:30?p.m. Sunday, police said.
Holzhausen lost control of the motorcycle and drove into the grassy median, striking two road signs, police said. Neither Holzhausen nor Kelly were wearing helmets, police said.
Both were taken by medical helicopter to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital.
Holzhausen, who is listed in critical condition at IU Health Methodist Hospital, suffered a head injury, police said.
Kelly suffered a leg injury, police said, and was listed in good condition on Monday.
