Astoria, NY : 16-year-old girl from Astoria was killed in two-vehicle crash on Highway 202 Saturday September 19 2015

A 16-year-old girl from Astoria was killed Saturday in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 202 just east of Astoria.
The teen was headed east on Oregon 202 near milepost 7 at about 11:20 a.m. when her 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser crossed the highway's centerline and collided with a westbound 2003 Dodge pickup. According to witnesses, the Chrysler lost control on a corner before crossing the centerline.
The teen was pronounced dead on scene.The driver of the Dodge, Brooks R. Van Develder, 36, of Astoria, was taken to the hospital for treatment and released. Van Delvelder is employed by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, and the pickup he was driving is an agency vehicle.
