Gig Harbor,WA : Pregnant woman, 2 kids among 4 people seriously injured in River Road wreck on October, Sunday 29th 2017

A pregnant woman, two children and another adult suffered serious injuries in a two-car accident Sunday afternoon on River Road, said Wasington State Patrol spokeswoman Brooke Bova.

All four were not wearing seat belts, Bova said. The children were transported to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital and the adults were taken to St. Joseph Medical Center. The drivers, who also weren’t wearing seat belts, were injured and released at the scene, according to a Washington State Patrol statement.

Sunday afternoon, Bova tweeted that the 24-year-old female driver, 3-year-old girl and 6-year-old boy were OK. They were passengers in a 2001 GMC Yukon. A 33-year-old male passenger in a 2002 Audi A4 needed surgery for an aortic injury, Bova tweeted.
