St. Francois County, MO : Desloge man killed, teen hurt in head-on crash in St. Francois County on Wednesday 24th October 2018

A head-on crash in St. Francois County killed a Desloge man on Tuesday night, police say. A teenager driving the other car suffered minor injuries.

John E. Luebbers Sr., 63, died after his vehicle veered into oncoming traffic about 10:25 p.m. Tuesday on Vo-Tech Road, south of Mull Road, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Luebbers was driving south in a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer when his vehicle went off the right side of the road. The Missouri Highway Patrol said Luebbers overcorrected and went across the center line of the road, hitting an oncoming 2002 Jeep Liberty.

Luebbers' vehicle overturned. He was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol said.
