BURTON, SC : Two motorcycle crashes in Burton leave 5 with critical, serious injuries on Saturday, 24th September 2016
The Burton Fire District responded to two separate motorcycle crashes Saturday night that left five people in the hospital with serious to critical injuries.
Crews say they responded to the first crash involving four motorcycles on Laurel Bay Road, just before 7 p.m. where they found four motorcyclists suffering from serious to critical injuries. Two of those cyclists had to be flown to the hospital for treatment.
The second wreck of the night happened around 11 p.m. on Trask Parkway near Roseida Road. Upon arrival, firefighters found a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcyclist and passenger vehicle.
The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Beaufort Memorial Hospital for treatment.
