Norfolk, VA : Ivor woman dies after two-vehicle crash in Suffolk on Friday night, December 2, 2016

An Ivor woman died following a two-vehicle crash Friday night.

The crash happened a few minutes before 6 p.m., on U.S. 58, just before the Wilroy Road exit, a city news release said. It involved a tractor trailer and a Toyota.

Jean M. Mitchell, 77, of Ivor, died. She was the passenger in the Toyota. Her husband, Robert E. Mitchell, 81, remains hospitalized in serious condition, said the release, which was put out early Saturday. He died late Saturday, the release states.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured, the release said.

The investigation is ongoing.
